Mediterranean-born José Luis Bartolomé and Albert Escribano founded HEREU after years immersed in the cultural mix of London and Paris. At HEREU, they engage with local artisans, rediscovering craft traditions and using them to express their distinctive take on the region’s enduring heritage. The designs evoke a nostalgia for Mediterranean Spain and reinterpret artisanal traditions influenced by the distinct mix of high art, folk tradition and popular culture.
